Biography:

Initially, Corporal Moreno was a member of the 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was seriously wounded in action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on 20 September 1950 and was evacuated to the United States on 26 September 1950. He returned to Korea and was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action again while fighting the enemy in North Korea on 21 November 1952 and died of those wounds on 19 December 1952.

Moreno was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
