|
Aviation Machinist's Mate First Class Lounsbury was a crew member of a PB4Y-1P Consolidated Liberator surveillance aircraft with the U.S. Navy. On 22 August 1956, while patrolling the airspace during the Korean truce, his aircraft was shot down. His remains have not been recovered. Lounsbury was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal. |
