Jack C. McDowell was a U.S. Army veteran who served as a Rifleman with Service Company, 394th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division.

The 394th Infantry served in the European Theater of Operations in World War II. The campaigns it served in include the Battle of the Bulge and the Ardennes Forest, Remagen Bridge, the Rhineland, and the Ruhr.

Jack served from 11 March 1942 to 8 October 1945.
