Walter B. Barrack was born in Farnham, Virginia in 1933 to Edna Isabelle Pugh Barrack Ferrier and his father is reported to be Zef Vanlandingham of Calleo, Virginia. He had one half brother, Edwin. His grandparents were Rosa Bell Bevis Pugh and William Hamilton Pugh. He moved to Baltimore from Virginia when he was 12 and met Audrey Virginia Roat at Glen Burnie High School. He did not graduate because he enlisted in the US Air force in 1953. He served 4 years. They had 4 children. My parents divorced in 1979 and he never re-married. He died of throat cancer on January 26, 2000.
