Biography:

USNA Class of 1948, Lieutenant Junior Grade Harris was a pilot of a AD-4 Skyraider fighter with Attack Squadron 55 aboard the carrier USS Princeton (CV-37). On 28 June 1951, while on a strafing run at BU 9826, his plane crashed and exploded. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Harris was awarded the Air Medal, the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
