Biography:

On 11 February 1971, U.S. Army Specialist Four Charles Paul Montross was serving with C Company, 75th Support Battalion, 5th Infantry Division, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SP4 Montross was killed in action when he sustained wounds from Friendly Fire. His body was recovered. He received a posthumous promotion to Sergeant.
