An actor, Donald F. Haines is best remembered for playing the role of 'Speck' in several of the "The Little Rascals" comedies between 1930 and 1932. Among his roles were the films, "Radio Dough" (1934), "No Greater Glory" (1934), "Ginger" (1935), "A Tale Of Two Cities" (1935), "Exclusive Story" (1936), "Little Lord Fauntleroy" (1936), "Rhythm In The Clouds" (1937), "Down On The Farm" (1938), "East Side Kids" (1940), "Pride Of The Bowery" (1940), "Bowery Blitzkrieg" (1941), and "Military Training" (1941).
Haines entered the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He was an aviation cadet and, after pilot training became a First Lieutenant. He was killed in action on 20 February 1943, while serving with the 93rd Fighter Squadron.
