Private Delgado was a member of the 49th Transportation Truck Company, U.S. Army. He suffered an anesthetic accident during a hernioplasty and was taken to the 121st Evacuation Hospital where he died on 25 May 1952.

Delgado was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
