Biography:

Private First Class Boyd was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was killed in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) when attacked by North Korean infiltrators on 16 July 1967.

Boyd was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal.
