Glen Everett Rountree was born on 4 September 1941.

On 13 January 1969, Staff Sergeant Glen Everett Rountree was serving with A Battery, 3rd Battalion, 319th Artillery, 173rd Airborne Brigade, in Binh Dinh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SSG Rountree was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
