Edward G. Ogden

Edward G. Ogden was born in Morristown, NJ, in 1930.
Ogden enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1949, and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1955. He graduated from MIT in 1961 with degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi and SNAME.
Ogden lived in Basking Ridge and all over the world during his 25 years of service in the Navy; he retired as a Commander. In retirement he was a Professional Engineer in New York, New Jersey and Texas. He moved to Ocean Grove, NJ, over 30 years ago.
Commander Edward G. Ogden, age 80, died on 25 August 2011 at Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove, NJ.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Welte Ogden; his children, Elizabeth and Edward, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Aiko Walson and Zachary Ogden.
Burial
Edward G. Ogden is buried at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.
