Robert Michael Miller was born on 11 December 1946.

On 6 June 1967, Lance Corporal Robert Michael Miller was serving with CAP Bravo 4, Service Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, LCPL Miller was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
