Alcadio Norber Mascarenas was born on 6 June 1944.

On 16 June 1966, Lance Corporal Alcadio Norber Mascarenas was serving with 1st Platoon, C Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, in Quang Tin Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, on Hill 488, LCPL Mascarenas was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
