Danny Lewis Lasure was born on 3 October 1947.

On 31 January 1968, Private First Class Danny Lewis Lasure was serving with C Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Group, 18th Military Police Brigade, in Gia Dinh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Lasure was killed in action when he sustained multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered.
