John Joseph Kalen

John Joseph Kalen was born on 27 September 1940.

On 16 September 1969, Captain John Joseph Kalen was serving with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, in Pleiku Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, CPT Kalen was killed in action when the helicopter in which he was a passenger crashed. His body was recovered.
