Sergeant Major Bruno Wende (17 April 1859 - 27 December 1929) was a U.S. Army soldier who received the U.S. military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his heroic actions during the Spanish-American War.

Bruno Wende was born on 17 April 1859 in Germany. After immigrating to the United States, he entered the Army from Canton, OH. He was sent to fight in the Spanish-American War with Company C, 17th U.S. Infantry where he earned the Medal of Honor for his actions.
