Alexander M. Quinn Sergeant, U.S. Army Medal of Honor Recipient Spanish-American War Sergeant Alexander M. Quinn (1866 - 4 May 1906) was a U.S. Army soldier who received the U.S. military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his heroic actions during the Spanish-American War. Alexander M. Quinn was born in 1866 in Passaic, NJ. Medal of Honor Rank and organization: Sergeant, U.S. Army, Company A, 13th U.S. Infantry Place and date: Santiago, Cuba, 1 July 1898 Citation: Gallantly assisted in the rescue of the wounded from in front of the lines and under heavy fire from the enemy. Death and Burial Sergeant Alexander M. Quinn died on 4 May 1906. He is buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. |
