Albert Leo Sullivan

United States Navy seaman second class who was killed in action, along with his four brothers, while serving onboard USS Juneau (CL-52) after she was sunk by a Japanese torpedo during the Battle of Guadalcanal. At the time, the Navy did not have a policy of allowing brothers to serve together on the same ship. They became known as the "Fighting Sullivan Brothers", and two Navy ship's would be named in their honor: USS The Sullivans (DD-537) and USS The Sullivans (DDG-68).DD-537 was the first Navy ship to be named after multiple people.
