Winfield Nye Robinson
Major, U.S. Army

In World War II, Major Winfield Nye Robinson served with the 45th Infantry Regiment, Philippine Scouts, U.S. Army. MAJ Robinson was captured and held as a Prisoner of War by Japanese forces and died while in captivity. MAJ Robinson's courageous actions and devotion to duty earned him the U.S. Army's second highest award for valor, the Distinguished Service Cross.
