Louis Franklin Vaughan
Seaman, United States Coast Guard

United States Coast Guard seaman and acting yeoman who was lost during the sinking of USCGC Tampa (ex-Miami) in the Bristol Channel off of England on September 26, 1918. All hands were lost at sea and only three bodies were recovered. On november 11, 1999, the 111-man crew was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
