Biography:

Kenny was born to Howard Eugene DeMorest & Anna Mabel (Lundberg) DeMorest. He was serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII, aboard the USS Preston (DD-379) when it was sunk by the Empire of Japan. His body was not recovered. He is enshrined on the Tablets of the Missing, US Navy @ Manila American Cemetery & Memorial in the Philippines. He was awarded a Purple Heart, Navy/Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal w/ Fleet Clasp, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 3 Bronze Campaign Stars, and the WWII Victory Medal.
