Raymond H. Collins On 22 April 1945, Private First Class Raymond H. Collins was serving with Company G, 123rd Infantry Regiment, 33rd Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater of Operations. On that day, PFC Collins' unit was in action against Japanese forces. PFC Collins' courageous actions and extraordinary heroism that day, at the cost of his life, earned him the U.S. Army's second highest award for valor, the Distinguished Service Cross. PFC Collins died of his wounds on 25 April 1945. Medals, Awards and Badges Distinguished Service Cross Distinguished Service Cross Citation (Synopsis) Private First Class Raymond H.
