Donald Peter Johnson
Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps

Donald Peter Johnson was born on 4 May 1947 in Stanley, Chippewa County, WI, the son of Morten D. and Dorothy M. Hodowanic Johnson.

Donald enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on 21 February 1966 at the Milwaukee, WI, Recruiting Office. On 13 March 1967, Lance Corporal Johnson was serving with 1st Platoon, C Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, LCpl Johnson was killed in action when he sustained a wound from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
