Tony Gene Hubbard was born on 30 November 1947.

On 22 November 1968, Private First Class Tony Gene Hubbard was serving with E Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force, in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Hubbard was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
