Danny Lee Hilterbran was born on 29 October 1949.

On 29 July 1970, Specialist Four Danny Lee Hilterbran was serving with D Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade, in Binh Dinh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SP4 Hilterbran died in a non-hostile action accident. His body was recovered.
