Biography:

Corporal Chambers was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 17th Field Artillery Battalion, IX Corps. On 8 December 1952, he was driving a jeep back to his unit near Paeksong-ni, North Korea in the dark, when he was shot by persons unknown.

Chambers was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
