Biography:

Private Browning was a member of the 8th Field Artillery Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. While acting as a forward observer on 29 July 1950 on the Pusan Perimeter, South Korea, he was listed as Missing in Action. In 1953 his remains were recovered and returned to the National Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama.

Browning was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
