Marshall Ray Frizzell

Marshall Ray Frizzell was born on 1 December 1931. He entered the U.S. Army on 13 June 1954.
On 20 February 1966, Captain Marshall Ray Frizzell was serving with A Company, 501st Aviation Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade, in South Vietnam.
On that day, U.S. Army helicopter UH-1D tail number 64-13559 collided with UH-1D tail number 64-13606 in a helicopter pick-up zone due to poor visibility caused by blowing dust. Captain Frizzell, one of the pilots, was killed in the crash, along with two others. In addition to the three deaths from this incident, eight people were injured. Frizzell's body was recovered.
