Paul John Foti was born on 25 February 1950.

On 23 March 1971, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Paul John Foti was serving with A Troop, 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, in South Vietnam.

On that day, CWO2 Foti was killed in action when his helicopter was shot down in Binh Long Province. His body was recovered.
