Lauren Ray Everett

Commander, U.S. Navy

Lauren Ray Everett was born on 13 July 1934 in Fayette County, IA, the son of Cecil R. and Etta M. Johnson Everett.

On 17 October 1971, Commander Lauren Everett was serving with RVAH-5, CVW-14, USS Enterprise, Task Force - 77, 7th Fleet, off the coast of South Vietnam.

On that day, CDR Everett died in a non-hostile action when his plane crashed into the Gulf of Tonkin, North Vietnam. His body was not recovered.
